Oujda Portail: Oujda 10 Février 2011, Pedagogy of Integration (PI) aims to improve the efficiency of the education system and its fairness – has aligned the social order and the school, stressed scholar-researcher “Belgian Xavier Roegiers “.
PI provides concrete ways to promote the integration of students into society through basic education, esteemed Mr Xavier the international expert in curriculum studies and training as well as evaluation, during a lecture Monday at Oujda, under the slogan: “the pedagogy of integration, an approach to human dimension. ““The challenge faced today by the PI is to combine the complex (meaning) and the concrete (the evaluation),” he added, noting that as in terms of guidance pedagogical approach affirms the need to address pedagogical processes, difficulties encountered by students, and certainly not just an obtained results.
In this vision, Mr Xavier, who is also professor at the University of Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium,” that the PI does not turn down any teaching method or approach, provided that the main concern is putting the student in the core of learning, moreover, the methods chosen must be effective. ”
Focusing on today’s education issues, he said that globally, education systems are “more and more standardized and more unfair.”
The prevalent model is absolutely, “the standard approach” (derived from the pedagogy by objectives) which is based essentially on the principle of employability, he said, estimating that this scheme “to deprive the individual’s own provision and seeks to form an absolute highly skilled elite, ensuring the others dependent on this elite. ”
Although, the studies are multiplying to highlight, the impact of PI (efficiency and equity), Xavier noted that such pedagogy recognizes the need to develop different types of content.
“Beside the knowledge and “know-how”, the PI considers it important to develop “know-being”, life-skills , and cross-cutting capacities,” he said, adding that these contents are not an end in itself, but the resources that students will be invited to reinvest in complex situations.
It was in this sense, emphasized the need to ensure students to three different and complementary ways, focusing on tools common (knowledge and know-how), Tackle depth (tools of analysis and argument) and the tools acting (strategies and approaches to problem solving).
In the other side, Mohamed Abou Damir, director of AREF of the Oriental, who organized this conference in partnership with the National Center for Educational Innovation and Experimentation (CNIPE), mentioned that the Ministry of Education has used the pedagogy of integration as a methodological framework of formal Âœuvre practice of competency-based approach.
“The advantage of this teaching approach lies in capitalizing on the existing to the extent , it is based initially on current programs, allowing development Âœuvre efficient and facilitated this approach,” he added, recalling that the emergency program (2009-2012) has reserved him a specific project (E1P8 project on the renovation of the teaching model).
And to continue that this conference coincides with the phase of implementation of this pedagogy at the level of pilot schools secondary college dependent on Aref’s Oriental, indicating that this second phase was preceded by the first one consisted in the generalization of this education to all primary schools in the region.
