Figuig – HM King Mohammed VI inquired, here on Tuesday, about a programme to upgrade the eastern city of Figuig, worth 104 million dirhams (13.3 million dollars).
Covering the 2010-2013 period, the programme provides, among other things, for restructuring and renovating 14 under-equipped districts and developing the urban fabric.
The programme, that will benefit 12,600 people, also provides for building a social complex on an area of 2,100 square metres. This facility will provide spaces for learning, training and other cultural activities.
The Monarch also followed a presentation to upgrade the “Ich” centre, benefiting 250 people.
The upgrading of the city of Figuig and the “Ich” centre is part of a comprehensive programme to upgrade urban and rural centres of the province of Figuig, at a total amount of 445 million dirhams. MAP
